The Ritual
Three rituals, kept in order. Begin with the four steps that make a day, and add the rest only when your skin asks for them.
A routine is a list. A ritual is an order — a sequence in which every step earns the next one its place. That is the only real difference between the two, and it is the whole difference.
Care works from thinnest to thickest. Water before oil, fluid before cream. Kept in that order each step lands on skin still receptive from the one before it; kept in any other, the richest product simply seals the rest out. Everything below follows that single rule.
We keep three rituals because skin does not ask for the same thing every day. The first is the day itself. The second is renewal, added when skin is ready for it. The third is a concentrated answer, kept for the weeks that need one.
Begin with the first ritual and stay there as long as it serves you. What lies beneath it is not a graduation — only a different kind of attention, kept for a different kind of week.
Three Levels
Where to begin
The first level is the day itself. Read it first — the two beneath it only make sense once it is kept.
